Rosé and Bruno Mars’ music video for “APT.” has achieved another significant milestone by becoming the fastest music video by an Asian artist to reach 1.1 billion views on YouTube.
This feat was accomplished in just over 117 days and 11 hours since its release on October 18, 2024.
“APT.” has been breaking numerous records since its debut. The song quickly became the fastest K-pop MV to hit both 500 million and 600 million views, surpassing previous records held by other prominent artists like BTS’s “Dynamite”.
It also became the fastest Asian act MV to hit 1 billion views, breaking PSY’s record with “Gangnam Style”.
The collaboration between Rosé from BLACKPINK and Bruno Mars has contributed significantly to its global success.
The song is part of Rosé’s debut album Rosie and features a pop-rock style inspired by a popular Korean drinking game called “Apartment,” or “Apt” for short.
This unique blend of styles combined with the star power of both artists has resonated widely with audiences worldwide.
