AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF)- Three couples are getting married, and they are all ready to say, “I Do”.
The Richmond County Civil and Magistrate Court is happy to once again officiate Valentines Day marriages.
Those who registered are able to marry their significant other for free today only from 10 am until 4pm.
Each couple is able to invite two guests and a photographer.
Chief judge of the civil and magistrate court says there’s a reason why they officiate free weddings on this day.
“It’s something that I’ve kind of made an annual tradition to picks special days to do it. Valentine’s Day, as we know, there’s always love in the air. So Valentine’s Day is the perfect day and there’ll be a couple of others that may come pop up during the year,” said Chief Judge Carletta Sims Brown.
For those who still want to get married today, make sure you have your marriage license and call the court before noon to get your free wedding.
