AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) – Investigators are searching for a suspect that reportedly barricaded himself inside a home in New Ellenton, Monday morning.
Aiken County Sheriff’s Department is on the scene assisting New Ellenton Police Department with the investigation.
The home is located on Million Avenue Northwest. At one point, authorities say shots were fired but no one was hit. A search of the home found that he was no longer inside.
We are still waiting to learn the name of the person barricaded and what started the incident.
The suspect is considered armed & dangerous.
