SEVERE WEATHER THREAT OVER FOR CSRA

Monday Afternoon Update: It was an active afternoon in the CSRA with numerous severe thunderstorm warnings and one tornado warning, but at this time, all warnings have expired. With winds up to 55 mph observed, downed trees and temporary power outages are being reported. Currently, there are reports of trees down in Burke, Richmond, Columbia, and McCormick counties along with flooding on I-520 in Richmond county. The last of the line of showers/storms will move through our southeastern counties over the next hour and we will be left with cooler and clearing conditions.

The cooling will be temporary, as the next big story in the weather department will be a big warm up later in the week! The month of April starts off tomorrow with a warm and sunny day, but by the end of the week high temps will climb into the lower 90s!
