Microsoft appears to have outed the next Xbox game to appear on PS5, as the PlayStation logo appears on the Starfield website.
As more and more Xbox games are released on other platforms, we’re now approaching the point where practically every Xbox exclusive feels destined for the PlayStation 5.
We’ve already seen the likes of Hi-Fi Rush, Sea Of Thieves, Pentiment, and Grounded on the console, with some on the Nintendo Switch too. In the coming months, we’re set to see Forza Horizon 5 and Indiana Jones And The Great Circle on Sony’s console as well.
The next obvious contender is Starfield, which launched on Xbox Series X/S and PC in 2023 and received the Shattered Space expansion last year. There have already been rumours of it going multiformat, but now a website update appears to suggest an announcement is imminent.
As spotted by users on ResetEra, a listing posted on the official Bethesda website for Starfield Creations has a PlayStation logo next to the Xbox and PC icons.
The listing, which has since been taken down, is for some work in progress ship decals, but this is the first time a PlayStation logo has been attached to a mod on the website, suggesting PlayStation 5 functionality is coming sooner than expected.

Some have already speculated the announcement of a PlayStation 5 version could coincide with details around the next expansion. Bethesda’s Todd Howard previously promised there’ll be a new expansion for Starfield this year, and while it hasn’t been officially announced, leaks suggest it will be called Starborn.
A recent tweet from the Starfield’s X account teased that there are ‘a lot of exciting things planned for the game this year’ which would be shared ‘when the time is right’.
The big question is when it could be announced. Microsoft randomly confirmed that Forza Horizon 5 is coming to PlayStation 5 in a news post, so this might done in the same way, but with a release date for Indiana Jones And The Great Circle yet to be announced, and reports of an Oblivion remake, this could be all tied to some upcoming event.
Beyond Starfield, there have also been rumours of Halo and Gears Of War coming to PlayStation 5, while the former is also touted for the Switch 2. In fact, it’d be surprising if multiple Xbox games weren’t part of the keenly awaited Nintendo Direct on April 2.
