Millie Bobby Brown has been Netflix’s favourite leading lady for years, and now, nine years after appearing as Eleven, she has raked in millions from over five projects.
Millie Bobby Brown – or is it Millie BONNIE Brown – is perhaps Netflix’s biggest success story but she was working in the acting industry for a few years before. She had minor roles in Intruders, Modern Family, Grey’s Anatomy, and Once Upon a Time in Wonderland before landing the leading role in Stranger Things back in 2016.
Since then, she’s worked almost exclusively with Netflix besides appearances in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Spheres: Songs of Spacetime, and even Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special. So let’s see if that exclusivity was worth it, at least according to her bank account.
Stranger Things
Once Upon a Time in Wonderland was Millie Bobby Brown’s very first acting role, but most of us know her from her first Netflix project Stranger Things. Of course, she’s played Eleven through all four seasons and the upcoming conclusion and her wage went up considerably with each instalment.
According to Deadline, Millie and the rest of the young cast earned $30k per episode during seasons one and two which meant they were raking in $510,000 a season! By the third instalment, the kids were making $250k per episode and $2 million per season and it again went up for season four when they were paid $1 million per episode and $9 million in total.
It’s yet to be seen whether the final season will follow the same trend of increasing or stick with the very cushty $1 million per episode.
Enola Holmes
Alongside Henry Cavill and Sam Claflin, Millie starred in a warped version of Sherlock Holmes’s tale as his younger sister, Enola. She was allegedly paid $6.1 million for the first film, and in the second that was hoisted up to $10 million thanks to her second role as executive producer.
Damsel
Damsel was Millie Bobby Brown’s first solo project for Netflix, and though it was never going to win any awards, who doesn’t love a dragon? Millie’s contract leaked in 2024 and showed that she was paid $10 million.
Millie Bobby Brown then slammed the contract leaking, saying on Instagram that records she signed as a teen “should have been protected so that they’re not on the record.”
The Electric State
The Electric State was Netflix’s most expensive project to date and one of the most expensive films in the entire world with a budget of $320 million! According to Spoiler, Millie Bobby Brown was paid $5 million for the project which is notably lower than other films and shows.
Meanwhile, Chris Pratt got $20 million.
