Themba Zwane has been linked with a sensational move to Kaizer Chiefs for months now.
Kaizer Chiefs are still linked with Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Themba Zwane.
However, the possible move faces a few challenges if it is to materialize.

CHIEFS LINKED WITH ZWANE
Zwane has struggled for gametime with Mamelodi Sundowns this season although this is largely due to injuries keeping the skilful midfielder on the sidelines.
Moreover, he is now 35 years old.

So, injuries, lack of playing time and his age could affect his deal with The Brazilians. Ultimately, Zwane is not guarenteed a new deal at the end of the season, according to KickOff.
Likewise, he is not guarenteed regular playing time either. This is unlikely to change if he stays at Chloorkop givem the current crop of Sundowns players playing in their prime.
Hence, the rise in rumours and speculation over the possible move.
So, Chiefs have there best chance of signing the Bafana Bafana veteran at the end of the transfer window.
CHALLENGES IN SIGNING BAFANA VETERAN
Despite this being the best chance for Amakhosi to sign Zwane, it does not mean it will happen.
Interest in Zwane has not been confirmed by Nasreddine Nabi or Chiefs at the time of publication. There are a few obstacles Amakhosi face if they are to pursue Zwane’s signature at the end of the season.
Zwane is a brand ambassodor of Puma. Meaning, Chiefs will have to negotiate with Puma as well as Zwane over image rights in order to prevent sponsorship clashes. A couple of seasons ago, Chiefs signed George Lebese for wearing Puma boots. Additionally, Andile Jali turned down an offer to join Chiefs as they wanted to own his image rights.
