Three charged in prison drop attempt in Davisboro, 4th attempt this year

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – On March 7th, around 11:48 PM, Washington County Deputies were dispatched to West Brown Drive in Davisboro following reports of several suspicious people. Additional deputies in the area quickly responded and began investigating.

It was soon determined that the subjects were in Davisboro attempting a prison drop at Washington State Prison.

During the investigation, deputies recovered a drone, a drone controller connected to a cellphone, and drawstring bags containing suspected contraband including marijuana, tobacco, and Promethazine.

Arrested:

  • Emmarrion Murray, 20 years of age, of Jonesboro, Ga.,
  • Serpico Evans, 27 years of age, of East Point, GA.,
  • Alfonso Horton, 23 years of age of Forest Park, GA.

All three are charged with Trading with Inmates(felony), Conspiracy to Commit a Felony(felony), Possession of Marijuana with intent to Distribute(felony), Possession of Schedule V Controlled Substance with intent to Distribute(felony). Evans was also charged with Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a felony(felony).

This is the 4th prison drop attempt since the beginning of 2025. Last year, 16 people were arrested for the same crime.
