Trump takes another dig at SA: ‘Very dangerous mess’

US President Donald Trump has taken another swipe at South Africa, calling it a “dangerous mess.”

In recent weeks, the controversial statesman has accused SA of being a “very bad place” that “racially discriminates” against white people, particularly Afrikaners. He has since issued an Executive Order granting the minority community to apply for refugee status in America.

Over the weekend, Trump’s aid Elon Musk criticised EFF leader Julius Malema for singing the struggle song, Kill The Boer.

TRUMP: ‘SOUTH AFRICA IS VERY DANGEROUS’

In one of his latest Truth Social platform, US President Donald Trump posted: “As I have long been saying, South Africa is a total – and very dangerous – mess.”

Trump also posted a screenshot of Elon Musk’s tweet about EFF leader Julius Malema’s singing of Kill The Boer.

The billionaire businessman tweeted over the weekend: “Very few people know that there is a major political party in South Africa that is actively promoting white genocide… A whole arena chanting about killing white people.”

Musk then referred to the Expropriation Bill as well as the Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) Act, which he has previously called “racist laws.”

He continued: “Where is the outrage? Why is there no coverage by the legacy media?

“Starlink can’t get a license to operate in South Africa simply because I’m not black. How is that right?”

ELON MUSK TELLS TOURIST TO CARRY A GUN?

Although US President Donald Trump has never been to South Africa, Elon Musk grew up there, in Pretoria, to be specific.

However, Elon shares Trump’s sentiments that his home country is “dangerous.”

On his X account, Elon Musk responded to a tweep who sought advice for a woman who was about to visit  South Africa.

Elon tweeted: “Cape Town is essentially a beautiful theme park and is generally kept safe for the tourists, so staying in the tourist areas is probably ok.

The 53-year-old continued: “Other parts of the country can be extremely dangerous for a woman travelling alone with no gun. If visiting a trusted friend, listen very carefully to the directions of that friend. Do not get lost or go exploring without an escort.”

DO YOU THINK DONALD TRUMP AND ELON MUSK’S COMMENTS ARE AN ACCURATE REPRESENTATION OF SOUTH AFRICA?
