Trump’s AI-Generated Gaza Video Sparks Fury for Mocking Palestinian Suffering

Donald Trump’s AI-generated video depicting Gaza as a futuristic luxury paradise has sparked widespread outrage and criticism for its insensitive portrayal of the region.

The video, shared on Trump’s Truth Social account, features a golden statue of Trump, Elon Musk dining, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lounging by a pool, set against a backdrop of pristine beaches and modern skyscrapers.

The video titled “Gaza 2025 What’s Next?” opens up with people on a rubble-strewn street emerging from a tunnel onto a beach with palm trees and yachts.

This vision is starkly at odds with the reality of Gaza, which is marked by ongoing conflict, displacement, and suffering.

The video begins with scenes of war-torn Gaza before transitioning to a utopian landscape, complete with luxury resorts and a Trump-branded hotel. The accompanying song includes lyrics like “Donald’s coming to set you free. Bringing the light for all to see. No more tunnels. No more fear. Trump Gaza is finally here”.

Critics argue that this depiction trivializes the complex issues faced by Palestinians and ignores the historical and political context of the region.

UN Special Rapporteur on Palestinian human rights Francesca Albanese slammed the video as “absurd” in a post on X.

“What the new US administration is doing is very clear and strategic: it is called psychological overwhelming. Hitting us every day with XXL doses of baffling rhetoric and erratic policies serves to ‘control the script’, distracting and disorienting us, normalising the absurd, all while disrupting global stability (and consolidating US control).”

Amnesty International Secretary General Agnes Callamard in a statement posted on X, said she had “no words indeed. Beyond indecency?”

Trump’s proposal to depopulate Gaza and hand control to Israel has also faced intense backlash, with many viewing it as a form of ethnic cleansing. The international community, including Arab nations and European states, has strongly rejected this plan, emphasizing the need for a two-state solution and respect for Palestinian rights.

Trump’s AI video has been condemned for its insensitivity and lack of understanding of the Palestinian situation, further polarizing opinions on the Middle East conflict.
