Ululating: Khama Billiat celebrates Nigeria draw in style

Zimbabwean midfielder Khama Billiat uniquely celebrated their draw with Nigeria by ululating, singing, and dancing. It was a tight game at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on 25 March 2025.

Because of their recent form, many fans believed Zimbabwe would lose the match. The Warriors of Zimbabwe had some of their best players, like Marvelous Nakamba, injured, and that was a big blow.

Conversely, Nigeria looked strong, with established stars like Alex Iwobi, Ademola Lookman, and Victor Osimhen all available.

Interestingly, the game panned out to be different from what most fans expected.

KHAMA BILLIAT CELEBRATES NIGERIA DRAW IN STYLE

Despite the odds, Zimbabwe snatched a draw thanks to Tinotenda Chirewa’s late goal. Chirewa’s goal silenced the Nigerian fans, who thought the game was over.

Nigerian players like Osimhen were also disappointed. The goal scorer shouted at his teammates, blaming them for the draw.

On the other hand, the Zimbabwean warriors were full of joy. They hugged each other with smiles and took time to cheer up their travelling fans before they went to the dressing room.

In the dressing room, they continued the celebrations, singing and dancing. Among them was former Kaizer Chief Khama Billiat, who joyfully ululated.

THE STATE OF THE GROUP

In other matches in the Group C standings, South Africa beat Benin 2-0, and Rwanda drew one-all with Lesotho.

That means South Africa remains the group leader, with 13 points, followed by Rwanda and Benin, who have 8 points each. Behind them is Nigeria, which scored 7 points; Lesotho, with 6 points; and Zimbabwe, with 4 points.

With the current standings, all teams remain open to snatching a top-two position if they perform well in the coming games.

MUSONA RETURNS TO THE NATIONAL TEAM

Zimbabwean striker Knowledge Musona is back with the national team after a few years in retirement. Musona is one of Zimbabwe’s greatest goal scorers, alongside legends like Peter Ndlovu.

Zimbabwe coach Michael Nees spoke about the forward’s return, giving him a lot of praise.

“Musona is a very important player. His experiences, skills, and character have added value to our team. We’re happy he’s back and happy to have him back,” said Nees.
