UNICEF Reports 322 Children Killed, 609 Injured in Gaza in 10 Days Amid Israeli Attacks

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has reported that at least 322 children have been killed and 609 injured in Gaza over the past 10 days due to the latest Israeli attacks.

According to AFP, UNICEF stated that these figures include children who were killed or injured in the attack on the surgical department of Al-Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza on March 23.

UNICEF highlighted that most of these children were already displaced, seeking refuge in temporary tents or damaged homes.

UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell emphasized that the ceasefire in Gaza had provided a lifeline for children, but they have once again been subjected to deadly violence and deprivation.

She further urged all parties to uphold their responsibilities under international humanitarian law to protect children.

Hamas Calls on Supporters Worldwide to Take Up Arms

Meanwhile, senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri has called on the group’s supporters worldwide to take up arms and resist plans to displace the people of Gaza.

In a statement on Monday, Abu Zuhri said, “Anyone who can take action against this sinister plan of genocide and starvation must do so—whether with explosives, bullets, knives, or stones. No one should remain silent.”
