Updated Formula One drivers’ standings after Chinese Grand Prix

Oscar Piastri led a McLaren one-two from Lando Norris in the Chinese Grand Prix after an action-packed weekend in Shanghai.

Lewis Hamilton won the first Saturday sprint of the season and then had a shock disqualification on Sunday, along with Ferrari team-mate Charles Leclerc and Alpine’s Pierre Gasly.

After just two of 24 races this season, Norris leads the way with 44 points, ahead of defending champion Max Verstappen (36).

Mercedes’ George Russell is in third (35), ahead of Piastri (34).

The next race is scheduled to take place in Japan on Sunday, 5 April.
