A 14-year-old girl is missing from Pontefract after failing to return home.

Zaina Razwan hasn’t been seen in the West Yorkshire town since she went out on Sunday around 5.30pm.

She had been expected to return, but she didn’t come home. Police have now released an appeal for anyone who might know where she is to come forward.

Described as a mixed-race Asian girl, she has a slim build and long, dark hair, with a septum piercing in her nose.

Zaina was last seen dressed in all black, wearing a hoodie, trousers and trainers.

She is known to have links to Ackworth and Wakefield, as well as her hometown of Pontefract.

Home to roughly 32,000 people, the town is roughly 4km north of Ackworth village and 12km east of Wakefield.

The city of Leeds is 19km to the northwest.
