We all had plenty of opinions on the events of MAFS Australia 2024. It turns out the current contestants all did too. Apparently this year’s grooms were shown footage of last year’s season as a test before they were allowed on the show.
Jacqui revealed the in and outs of the MAFS Australia application process in a TikTok filmed in someone else’s home sauna. Apparently the process takes around three months. Producers ask potential MAFs contestants plenty of questions about their past relationships, to determine if they would be a good fit for the show.
Jacqui explained: “They [the casting team] test for absolutely everything. So they’re doing police checks, they ask about what your previous relationships were like, if you’ve ever had a bit of an incident. They ask about what your thoughts are.
She continued: “They can find out if you’re a narcissist. They do so many personality tests. They know if you’ve cheated on a partner, if you’ve been in a toxic relationship. They know everything.”
One aspect of the MAFS application process is particularly surprising. Jacqui claims all the potential MAFS Australia 2025 grooms were made to watch clips of Jack on the 2024 show. Apparently the casting team then used the applicants’ opinions on this to judge whether they should go on the show.
Jacqui said: “They asked all the men this year about what their thoughts were on Jack’s comments last season.”

Jack from MAFS Australia 2024 was controversial, to put it mildly. During a heated discussion with Lauren at a dinner party, Jack told her husband Jono “muzzle your woman”. He touched Sara’s bum (apparently “by accident”) and called other contestants “whales”. Despite all expectations, he and his MAFS bride Tori are still in a relationship.
