It’s a good week to be a Walkers crisps fan, as the snack giants just brought back a discontinued favourite – Worcester Sauce flavour.

The crisps, which were axed in 2023 and feature the iconic taste of Lea & Perrins, have finally returned to shops nationwide after Walkers admitted they’d made a mistake only bringing them back in one shop in the West Midlands.

But that’s not all… There’s even more exciting news for those who have been missing another top tier flavour, as Walkers has confirmed that Heinz Tomato Ketchup crisps are also going to be making a comeback.

Yes, Walkers and Heinz are joining forces once more to bring back the saucy crisps many shoppers have been missing for two years.

Walkers teased the return of the fan-favourite on Instagram, sharing a snap of a crisp covered in the classic Heinz sauce, along with a date showing March 17.

They captioned the post simply writing: ‘You know it makes sense.’

More than 44,000 people liked the post, with hundreds going wild in the comments, proclaiming the crisps the ‘best’, their ‘fave’, and ‘elite’.

A user named @shazzathewino posted: ‘This better be UK wide, unlike Worcester Sauce. Don’t break my heart again.’ And @robin_hope_summers wrote: ‘Ketchup is genuinely my favourite flavour crisp. I’m dying over here bro.’

Similarly @another_snack_reviewer admitted they were her ‘fave’ crisps, adding: ‘So glad these are back!’ While @realpeteyquinn commented: ‘Love me some Ketchup Walkers. Easily the best flavour.’

Metro’s very own assistant news editor Isobel Frodsham was also ecstatic about the snack news, boldly proclaiming the Walkers and Heinz treat ‘the greatest crisp creation ever created’.

She said: ‘For some people the McDonald’s McRib might be their dream food return to the shelves, but for me, it’s always been Tomato Ketchup crisp.

‘While I am a salt and vinegar lover at my core, the Tomato Ketchup flavour is the greatest crisp creation ever created, in my humble opinion. It’s perfectly balanced – salty and sweet, and not too overpowering with the tomato flavour. I am delighted they are returning to the shops – I’m rushing out to buy a packet asap.’

And while Walkers was teasing something for March 17, it seems those who just can’t wait another day might already be able to get their hands on the crisps, as several shoppers claimed they’d already spotted multipacks of them on sale in Iceland and the Food Warehouse stores for £2.

It’s not yet known how long the tomato ketchup crisps will be sticking around for, so you’ll probably want to make the most of them and stock up while you can.

In other exciting foodie news, another discontinued favourite recently returned to the shops, but this one is a little sweeter.

Caramac chocolate bars by Nestlé got the boot from the confectioner’s line-up in 2023, making a brief reappearance in 2024, before disappearing again.

Chocolate lovers mourned the loss of what they called Nestlé’s ‘best ever’ item, and shed tears over the loss.

But they don’t need to cry anymore as it’s been spotted on sale once more.

Heron Foods is currently selling the chocolate bar in packs of three for just £1 – and with more than 340 stores nationwide, you’ll likely be able to nab yourself some.
