Glow Recipe was founded in 2014, and over the years it has continued to expand its collection of radiant-boosting skincare saviours and make-up products.
Many know and love the Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops, or the Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Hue Tinted Drops Face Serum, but the K-Beauty brand has expanded its collection with Dewy Flush Brightening Liquid Blushers, which have proved hugely popular already.
Customers waited in anticipation for Glow Recipe to release its new Dewy Flush liquid blushers, in fact the latest launches racked up an impressive 35,000 person waitlist on Sephora and Glow Recipe’s direct website ahead of the big drop.
Glow Recipe may have only recently dropped Dewy Flush, but a representative from the brand told us it has out performed the brand’s Dew Drops. So, we predict this beauty buy will sell out fast.
Before it flies off the shelves, we put it to the test. Let’s just say, as a blusher aficionado for over 20 years, I am impressed.

GLOW RECIPE Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dewy Flush
Dewy Flush, also known as Brightening Liquid Blush, is a lightweight tinted cheek serum that offers a subtle pop of colour to your cheeks. It is ultra hydrating as it is formulated with niacinamide, watermelon extract, Centella Asiatica, and Jojoba oil coated pigments, which combine to deeply hydrate, plump and brighten the complexion, while adding a natural flush of colour. The liquid blush has a subtle pigment and offers a soft flush of colour, which is buildable and easy to blend. Available in a soft rose pink named Watermelon Flush, or Berry Flush, which offers a soft plum tone.
The Dewy Flush is a skincare and make-up hybrid, as it has been formulated with skin loving ingredients, yet adds a pop of colour to your cheeks too. It’s just the perfect two-in-one.
I managed to get my hands on the Dewy Flush before it sold out, and it is a firm favourite in my make-up bag already. It is ideal for those no make-up make-up days, when I want a little flush on the cheeks, but also everyday wear. It is also suitable for the evening too as it adds colour to my cheeks and a natural glow. While I love the liquid blusher now I think it will be all I wear in the summer months, and for holidays for an effective, yet fuss-free, make-up look.
Sephora has described the latest Glow Recipe drop as a ‘tinted cheek serum’, and that description epitomises the product perfectly. The liquid blush is pigmented enough that one dot on each cheek will buff into the apples of your cheek and along the cheekbone seamlessly. Though you can apply more for a stronger burst of colour.
I often complete my skincare regime before applying any make-up. But even on days I slim down my skincare routine, or accidentally skip it, this blusher glides on to my skin seamlessly, which I put down to the nourishing skin-loving ingredients in this hydrating formula.
The Dewy Flush contains niacinamide, which is no surprise considering the name. This works to brighten dark spots and the overall complexion, improve the skin’s texture and minimise the appearance of enlarged pores. It also contains watermelon extract and Centella Asiatica, which are deeply hydrating, yet soothing on any irritated or red areas. The Jojoba oil coated pigments add an extra boost of hydration, but it is the secret ingredient that functions to add a flush of colour to the cheeks and stands this out from Glow Recipe’s other skincare products.

Dewy Flush is available in two aptly named sheer shades, Watermelon Flush, which is a soft rose pink tone, and Berry Flush that is a slightly deeper plum shade. At first glance, the colours look candy pink or deep plum, but they are more muted on the skin, and quite sheer, so do not be scared.
I tried both shades, and I can’t choose a favourite as they both complement different make-up aesthetics. I would even say they suit all skin tones too because they are easy to blend and build.
The bottle is slightly pearlescent, so I assumed there may be a hint of glitter or an iridescent finish to the blusher, but I couldn’t be more wrong. The pigment is a gentle flush of colour, and the dewy finish is thanks to the hydrating ingredients rather than a glitzy pigment, which I prefer for a natural look.
I wasn’t expecting the large doe applicator when I opened the bottle, I assumed this liquid blusher may be housed in a pump bottle similar to the skincare items. However, this feature is necessary, and makes the application process an absolute breeze.

I would stress that a little goes a long way. I applied one dot to the apple of each cheek and it was enough to blend into the cheek, along the cheekbones and around to the forehead. Though if you want to go bolder with the blush colour, or look even more glowy, you can of course apply more.
What I love most is this formula offers a dewy finish, but is not at all sticky, or greasy, which is a pet peeve of mine. In fact, it leaves an ultra soft velvet finish to my face, it is breathable and super lightweight, which is perfect for those who don’t want to be caked up in make-up.
I was dubious about its staying power, especially as some liquid make-up products I have tried tend to slip throughout the day. However, Glow Recipe’s Dewy Flush stays put, whether I have been on a walk, or out shopping for the day.
It is lightweight, buildable, gentle on the skin, hydrating, versatile, and it is super easy to apply, whether you blend with your fingers, a brush or beauty blender.

Considering a little goes a long way with this product, I consider it a worthy investment for £22.
But, don’t just take my word for it. Fellow beauty buffs and Glow Recipe fans are obsessed with the blushers already.
One review read: ‘This is the perfect flush ever! Skincare mixed with make-up is the perfect combo! I chose the shade Watermelon and it’s a nice subtle pink colour! It’s very buildable and looks very natural. This will give you the perfect sun kissed look ! I am obsessed!’
Another gushed: ‘Wow!! Such a unique product and after one use I have fallen in love. So perfect for a day when you don’t want to wear make-up, or worry about taking it off at the end of the night, but still want a flush of colour. So easy to apply!’
A separate shopper added: ‘I have waited so long for Glow Recipe to come out with a liquid blush with their amazing clean ingredients and I am so happy with this one. It’s not too pigmented, but it gives my cheeks a beautiful flushed glow, while also making my skin look and feel plump and hydrated. I would recommend to anyone.’
