The rescheduled Merseyside derby finally takes place on Wednesday night as Everton host Liverpool in the Premier League.

The game was originally set to take place in December but was postponed due to adverse weather conditions during Storm Darragh.

Three Premier League wins on the spin have dragged the Toffees away from the relegation scrap, now nine points clear of 18th-place Leicester.

Liverpool go into the game six points clear at the top of the table, and with this their game in hand over their rivals, extending that to nine points would seem to be very hard to overcome.
