RUMOURS surrounding the identity of the Dressed Crab are circulating like wild fire after the latest performance on The Masked Singer.
The famous face behind the crazy costume is still a mystery but viewers are convinced they know who the masked singer could be.

Who is Dressed Crab on The Masked Singer 2025?
Each year, The Masked Singer sees a selection of stars don elaborate costumes before taking to the stage to sing in front of the judges and those watching at home.
This season, viewers will be tasked with unmasking the identity of twelve characters, including Dressed Crab, Snail and Bush.
Dressed Crab made their debut on the show on Saturday, January 4, 2025.
They sang Bill Withers’ track Lean On Me.
Their second performance took place on Saturday, January 18, and this time they performed Earth, Wind & Fire’s hit Let’s Groove.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t enough to win over the audience as Dressed Crab landed in the bottom two with Tattoo.
After singing Drift Away by Dobie Gray the judges voted to save the crustacean, meaning Tattoo was unmasked as 80s pop icon Carol Decker.

They also shared the riddle: ”I don’t want to be beaten, there’s too much at stake, I’ve a taste for the high life, my rivals should quake.”
Who do the judges think Dressed Crab could be?
This year, it is the job of judges Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan and Maya Jama to figure out who is hiding behind the mask based on their voice and the clues shared during each show.
After his fist performance, Jonathan plumped for Jamie Foxx, while new judge Maya chose Billy Porter.
Mo went for a different Porter – Gregory – while guest judge Sir Mo Farah selected diving superstar Tom Daley.
Davina was convinced it was singer The Weeknd.
After the second performance, Maya stuck to her guns, with Davina now agreeing it is Billy Porter.
Jonathan selected Nile Rodgers, Mo Gilligan chose Seal, and guest Tom Daley thought it might be Adam Lambert.
Who do The Masked Singer fans think Dressed Crab is?
With the 2025 season in full swing, The Masked Singer fans have put their detective skills to the test in a bid to unmask Dressed Crab.
Taking to X to share their theories, one fan wrote: ”Such a soulful performance from Dressed Crab – I hear Gregory Porter!
The height of the Dressed Crab has caused rumours to circulate[/caption]
”He played American football at university. He’s ‘never out of fashion’ – has a song called ‘In Fashion’. I’m with Mo – Gregory Porter!”
And a second viewer added: ”Crab sounds so much like Gregory Porter.”
Others backed Maya, agreeing it was Billy Porter.
Fans are still divided, but a host of new theories have surfaced.
Due to the towering height and the NFL mask worn by The Masked Singer, the Brooklyn Nine-Nine star and ex-NFL linebacker Terry Crews has been named as a potential fit.
One person wrote on X: “Terry Crews played in the NFL, the crab is absolutely massive and it also sounds exactly like Terry Crews.”
Another said: “Dressed crab has to be Terry Crews? The NFL mask made me think of longest yard and/or White Chicks.”
A third posted: “Dressed crab could be Terry Crews, he is an American and was an NFL player.”
Some viewers have other ideas.
Keeping in with the American football clue, some think that former American footballer and ex-Strictly star Jason Bell could be the hidden celebrity.
Following Dressed Crab dropping the clue of “big little lies”, a number of fans were convinced they knew his identity.
One penned one person on X: “Dressed crab – Michael Kiwanuka Big little lies just gave that away.”
Another then speculated: “Is Dressed crab Michael Kiwanuka… he mentioned Big, little Lies… he sang the theme tune….”
While a third weighed in and said: “But not everyone knows who Michael Kiwanuka is.”
Some fans think Curtis Stigers might be the person behind the mask[/caption]
Other fans think it is American jazz singer Curtis Stigers — who is best known for the 1991 song I Wonder Why.
One fan claimed: “Dressed crab sounded like Curtis Stigers.”
A second stated: “Curtis Stigers is definitely Dressed Crab – I am not even watching the show just heard it from across the room. Brilliant vocalist.”
While a third asked: “Crab sounds just like Curtis Stigers! Whatever happened to him?”
As a fourth noted: “I’m going Curtis Stigers for Crab.”
Others think clues appear to indicate Ru Paul is behind the mask[/caption]
Since more clues to the crustacean’s identity emerged, some fans believe it’s none other than Ru Paul.
One said on X: “Crab is Ru Paul.”
Another agreed: “Dressed Crab has to be Ru Paul, surely.”
A third posted: “We need to have a talk about how ru paul is dressed crab…”
Other guesses from fans of the show include Randy Newman, Billy Ocean and Clarke Peters.

Twelve celebrities have been hidden behind intricate costumes, with their identities concealed.
Sadly, not all of this year’s whacky and wonderful characters can make it to the end of the show, as there can only be one winner.
Here’s who has been unmasked so far:
Bush – she didn’t fool viewers and the judges were so close, but Bush was in fact EastEnders legend Natalie Cassidy. Davina McCall came closest, guessing Morgana Robinson, who does a mean impression of the Sonia actress
Bear – another success for new judge Maya Jama as she guessed correctly that the singing Bear was none other than singer, songwriter Example – real name Elliot Gleave
Snail – this singer certainly fooled the judges as the mask was lifted to reveal Andrea Corr. Jonathan Ross admitted to being a huge fan of The Corrs
Kingfisher – everyone was convinced this was Harry Hill, but the mask was lifted to reveal artist Sir Grayson Perry, who is known for his alter-ego Claire
Teeth – this character baffled judges and viewers with their changing voice. They were finally unmasked as former Bake Off host Mel Giedroyc. None of the panel managed to guess it was her
Tattoo – despite Davina McCall saying “you sound the same” after this character was unmasked, none of the judges guessed it was 80s singer Carol Decker, whose hit China In Your Hand was a No1 hit for five weeks
Toad In The Hole – a massive diva strop saw the character storm off the stage after the judges voted them off. They later returned to be unmasked as singer Macy Gray
Pegasus – the mythical horse was revealed to be Prue Leith, with judge Jonathan Ross correctly guessing her identity
Spag Bol – this character was first to be unmasked and was none other than Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway.
Plus there was one extra unmasking this season, with Giant Joel – a caricature of host Joel Dommett – unveiled as double-double Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah.
