WOW: Jayden Adams already set to leave Mamelodi Sundowns?

Mamelodi Sundowns could be set to lose some of their key players to European sides at the end of the season.

After generating so much interest for their players from clubs abroad last season, it’s almost a miracle Sundowns held on.

Sundowns players in high demand abroad

In the last 18 months the likes Teboho Mokoena, Khuliso Mudau, Bathusi Aubaas, Lucas Ribeiro and Iqraam Rayners. Those being players who are part of a Bafana Bafana side that is in resurgence, bar Ribeiro. The other non-Bafana Bafana player who has recently caught the eye of scouts is centre back Malibongwe Khoza. The youngster is thought to be on the radar of club in the French Ligue 1.

Now the latest name to be added to that list is new recruit Jayden Adams! The Bafana Bafana midfielder just joined Sundowns from Stellenbosch FC in the January transfer window. With that being a big money deal and one Masandwana had been pursuing, it’s no surprise to see him performing. Those performances saw him score two goals in the last two games for Hugo Broos’ men.

Adams the latest with Spanish interest

Now with a combination of his performances for Sundowns and Bafana, Adams has attracted European interest. According to Soccer-Laduma, a Spanish club is looking at the prospects of signing him.

“Yes, it’s interest from Europe. Actually it’s a Spanish club. No they have been monitoring him Adams) for some time now but his move to Sundowns enhanced the interest and that’s why it has resurfaced now. We can’t say much at the moment because he is still new at Sundowns. But the interest is there,” said the source.

Would it be too soo to let go?

Having only arrived at the club in January, it remains to be seen if Sundowns would be willing to let Adams go. Masandawana, would it be too soon for your club to try cash in on him?
